Kolben Dance
The Kolben Dance School operates under the umbrella of Kolben Dance Company, offering students a unique dance experience inspired by the company’s artistic vision. Our classes are designed for adults and youth who wish to engage in the world of dance in a dynamic and enriching environment, with personalized attention – because every student matters.
A Wide Range of Classes for All Levels
We offer classes in modern and contemporary dance, classical ballet, hip-hop, modern jazz, Middle Eastern dance, and more – from beginner to advanced levels. Students may enroll in one or more classes per week.
Our faculty includes Kolben Dance Company dancers as well as highly qualified instructors, all graduates of leading dance academies and professional training programs.

Adi Gordon Rollings
Director of Kolben Dance School
A former dancer with Kombina Dance Company (now Kolben Dance), Adi is an experienced manager and artistic producer of various dance events. She specializes in movement direction and choreography for state ceremonies and educational films.
She holds a Master’s degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.

Meet Our Teachers
Ruth Valensi
Dancer, choreographer, rehearsal director, producer, and certified Feldenkrais instructor
A graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School, Ruth holds a B.A. and a teaching diploma from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. She has worked with leading dance companies and choreographers in Israel and abroad and teaches masterclasses at festivals, companies, and dance schools across Israel and Europe.
She curates the "Works in Daylight" dance series and manages the "Stage Workers" performance program in collaboration with Iris Erez.

Chen Barel
A graduate of the Muza Dance School and certified dance teacher training programs, Chen is a dancer and choreographer specializing in hip-hop. Her classes are known for their high energy and rhythm, providing both technique and deep understanding of one of the most popular dance styles worldwide.
Maya Schwartz
A dancer and choreographer, Maya has worked with Roni Hadas, Lilach Livne, Vertigo Dance Company, Sally Ann Friedland, and Maya Briner. She teaches modern release for beginners and contact improvisation.
Amit Zartzky
A graduate of Ironi Alef High School for the Arts in Tel Aviv and the Professional Dancer Training Program in Tel Aviv. She has danced with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company 2, Inbal Dance Company, and as a freelance performer in Tel Aviv, working with Roni Hadas, Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Inbal Pinto, Rotem Weissman, and Dina Ziv.
Idan Kogan
Born in Israel, Idan is a graduate of the Ga’aton Professional Dancer Training Program. He has danced with Fresco Dance Company and is currently a dancer with Kolben Dance.
As a child, Idan competed in acrobatics before transitioning into dance, which led him to develop his unique acro-dance style.
"For me, acro-dance is the connection between body and freedom, allowing us to break past our own limits."
Megumi Kedem Oikawa
Born in Japan, Megumi holds a B.A. from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
She danced with the Springboard Ensemble of the Faculty of Dance, directed by the late Hassia Levy Agron.
Megumi specializes in classical ballet instruction for dancers of all ages and skill levels.
She is currently the Head of the Dance Program at the Jerusalem High School for the Arts and has been teaching at Kolben Dance since 2006.

Zohar Shapira Manzura – Yoga
A senior yoga instructor, dancer, and dance educator, Zohar holds a B.A. and a teaching diploma from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
She teaches a unique yoga method she developed, combining the fluidity and dynamism of Ashtanga Yoga with the precision, grounding, and relaxation techniques of Vijnana Yoga.
